A report has surfaced today that several NFL players have violated the league's steroid policy by using water pills or Bumetanide to help them lose weight. Players reported include Will Smith and Deuce McAllister who play for the New Orleans Saints football team. The report comes from station Fox 31 in Denver.

Another report from ESPN is that as many as 10 players have tested positive for substances that violate the NFL steroid policy.

Players and their representatives had no comment as of yet. According to the rules of the NFL, a positive test result for a substance that is banned by the steroid policy would cause a four game suspension to take place for the player.
