Harambee House will Receive EPA Grant to Help Savannah Communities
(ATLANTA – APRIL 9, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will award a Community Action for a Renewed Environment (CARE) grant to improve community environmental health in Savannah, Ga. CARE grants support communities in creating and using collaborative partnerships to reduce exposure to pollution.

The EPA CARE program is a competitive grant program that offers an innovative way for communities to take action to reduce toxic pollution. Through CARE, communities create local collaborative partnerships that implement local solutions to reduce releases of toxic pollutants and minimize exposure to toxic pollutants.
