(PressZoom) - WASHINGTON, DC, March 4, 2013 – American Cleaning Institute® (ACI) President & CEO Ernie Rosenberg made the following comments on the nomination of assistant administrator Gina McCarthy to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):
"ACI congratulates Gina McCarthy on her nomination to become the next Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. We would look forward to working with her, most importantly on the matter of modernizing the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
"We want and need a workable, science-based, robust bipartisan law that enhances consumer confidence in federal chemical management. A modernized law needs to give the Agency the authority it needs to protect human health and safety while encouraging – and not impeding – innovation. We encourage EPA to be engaged in these discussions."
